A few focused questions. No purchase commitment. A clearer next decision.

I came to know OsteoStrong through franchise development and corporate leadership before becoming a multi-center owner myself. I’ve seen this business from both sides: helping develop the opportunity and taking responsibility for centers of my own.

For me, ownership is about more than opening a business. It’s about helping people, serving communities, and finding a purpose worth pursuing. My daughter Jordon once said something that captured that feeling perfectly:

“You didn’t start a business. You expanded our family.”

WHO IS OSTEOSTRONG?

OsteoStrong is a membership-based wellness center focused on skeletal and musculoskeletal strength. Its guided four-device circuit takes only minutes, typically once a week. It is not a gym or a medical treatment.

This starts with you

Before you invest in a business,
make sure you know what you're exploring.

You are not just choosing a franchise. You are deciding what kind of business and what kind of responsibility fits your life. Start with the questions that help you make a better decision.

01 / PURPOSE

Why do you want to own?

Is your goal to serve your community, build a business, lead a team, or some combination? Get clear on what makes this opportunity meaningful to you.

02 / LEADERSHIP

How do you want to lead?

Would you rather lead one center day to day or explore a broader ownership role? The answer changes which questions you should ask.

03 / READINESS

What would you need to know?

You do not need every answer today. You do need to know which financial, market, and operating questions matter before taking the next step.

REAL EXPERIENCE. GUIDANCE WITHOUT PRESSURE.

Before the business decision, there's a person.

Serving people has long been part of Lyndon’s life. Today, he brings that same commitment to ownership in five OsteoStrong centers. Before that, he helped build the franchise from the inside as VP of Operations and VP of Sales. He has sat on both sides of the table. That changes the conversation.

He isn't here to rush you into a franchise. He wants to know what you hope to build, who you want to serve, and whether this fits your life, your values, and the people who matter to you. If it doesn't fit, he'll tell you.

Inside the franchiseVP of Operations, then VP of Sales, while the brand grew from about 25 to just under 200 locations. In the owner's chairOwnership in five OsteoStrong centers, starting with the first one in Illinois.

In Lyndon's words

“Is there room at the table for me?”

How a NO in 2012 turned into a calling.

  1. 01 · 2012

    I said no.

My neighbor in Tennessee, Kyle Zagrodzky, told me about OsteoStrong. I was traveling all over for the communications industry. We were about to move the family. So I told him, “Have fun with that.”

  2. 02 · Two years later

    I asked one question.

I had retired and tried a couple of startups. I called Kyle back and asked, “Is there room at the table for me?”

  3. 03 · The choice

    Three doors.

He offered me three paths: regional developer, franchise sales, or owner. He told me to “pray on it.” Sales was my background, so I chose sales. That first year, I was learning, not earning.

  4. 04 · The inside view

    Every sale crossed my desk.

I served as VP of Operations, then VP of Sales. We grew from about 25 franchise locations to just under 200.

  5. 05 · The owner's chair

No center near me. So I opened one.

We opened the first OsteoStrong in Illinois, in Schaumburg. Then a member asked to partner with me on a second one. That became Wilmette.

  6. 06 · The turning point

    Jordon saw it first.

My daughter came to the center and watched me with our members. She said, “You didn't start a business. You expanded our family.” She put words to what I felt.

  7. 07 · Today

    Serving. Owning. Helping Others.

I enjoy serving people and helping them make decisions that are right for their lives and families. I have ownership in five OsteoStrong centers. And I still sit down with people one on one. Sometimes I help them say yes. Sometimes I help them see it isn't right for their family. Both are a good outcome.

The heart behind the work

It's about people, not just places.

The equipment at the center of OsteoStrong traces back to Dr. John Jaquish. He set out to help his mother after her osteoporosis diagnosis. It started with a desire to help. Lyndon says that is still the point:

“Everything about the start of this thing came out of the desire to help. Those are the people I want to talk to.”

OSTEOSTRONG® OPENS NEW LOCATION IN CHICAGOLAND

New Fracture Prevention Wellness System is Reversing Osteoporosis For Thousands Across U.S.

(Schaumburg, IL) March 1, 2017. Since wellness brand OsteoStrong first introduced osteogenic loading to the public in 2012, it has improved bone health, muscle strength, and balance for thousands of clients. The scientifically proven system isn’t a prescription, gym, or diet, yet it’s so powerful that many clients’ bone density scans show total osteoporosis reversal.

The newest OsteoStrong has opened at 195 West Golf Rd and is locally operated by Lyndon and Vicky Sumlin. The Schaumburg location features the latest technology development in partnership with John Jaquish, Ph.D., a modern authority in osteogenic loading as a key approach to increase bone density, muscle strength, and balance.

Osteogenic loading is a brief set of highly controlled, acute impact exercises that greatly bolster bone density, according to clinical studies. The system improves overall strength, balance and posture, and helps with joint pain. Sessions are sweat-free and take less than 10 minutes a week, yet they are powerful enough to trigger a physiological response that creates new tissue growth cycles days after the session.

“Osteoporosis is known as a silent disease, but it affects millions of people. Whether you’re concerned about your own bone health or that of a relative or friend, it’s comforting to know that there is help. We wanted to bring OsteoStrong to our community because it changes people’s lives, not only those concerned about bone health, but athletes and weekend warriors of all ages striving to optimize their performance. People love the all-natural, convenient, one-time per week fun sessions,” said Lyndon and Vicky Sumlin, OsteoStrong franchisees.

Since opening in 2012, OsteoStrong has seen amazing results in more than 30,000 people. In 2014, the brand teamed with nine regional developers who signed commitments to open 500 new locations across the U.S. Schaumburg is one of the most recent openings in the OsteoStrong wellness boom. Lyndon Sumlin also works on the corporate team and helps with franchise development across the country.

OsteoStrong /2

The osteogenic loading device allows the user to safely resist four or more times their body weight, the amount required to trigger new bone growth according to a study published by researchers Tobias and Deere in 2012. With osteogenic loading, achieving that level of force is not only possible, it’s easy, won’t hurt, and doesn’t leave people feeling fatigued.

According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, osteoporosis is a porous bone condition that affects more than 200 million people worldwide, with 18 million more at risk of developing the disease in the U.S. alone. The disease is usually a consequence of the natural aging process, but most people don’t know they have the condition until they actually break a bone. When bones become weak enough, fractures can happen during activities as simple as coughing or getting up from the couch.

Published data has shown that osteogenic loading sessions done once a week can increase bone density up to 14 percent in one year. This change is significant enough to reverse osteoporosis for most people, or at the very least, greatly slow the progress of weakening bones.

“OsteoStrong sounds like a miracle cure to some people, but once they try it, people can’t believe the way they feel. They can also see concrete evidence every week because the device records session data every time they visit. We are at the forefront of a worldwide wellness revolution, and we’re excited to show Greater Chicago how just 10 minutes a week can change their lives,” said Lyndon and Vicky.

About OsteoStrong

OsteoStrong leverages clinically researched osteogenic stimulation methodology to help people of all ages and fitness levels enhance bone health, balance, overall strength, and posture. Sessions also alleviate back and joint pain. Created based on research in cellular biology, anti-aging, longevity, and bone mass production, the OsteoStrong system triggers the growth of new bone and muscle density in 10-minute sessions just once per week. OsteoStrong’s proprietary system engages bone and muscle development and delivers many benefits of strenuous exercise without risk of injury.

More than 30,000 people have seen amazing results since the brand launched in 2012. Many who attend sessions just once per week are reversing osteoporosis, improving balance, eliminating chronic joint and back pain, reversing fibromyalgia, and regaining physical strength.

OSTEOSTRONG SCHAUMBURG AND WILMETTE ANNOUNCE THEIR NATIONAL OSTEOPOROSIS AWARENESS OUTREACH CAMPAIGN FOR MAY 2021

Schaumburg, IL and Wilmette, IL: OsteoStrong, the global wellness franchise with over 145 locations worldwide, has been promoting bone health awareness for almost a decade, but May is a cornerstone of their media outreach campaign.

Each year during National Osteoporosis Awareness Month, OsteoStrong franchise owners across the country join forces to amplify this critical message: One in two women and up to one in four men will break a bone in their lifetime due to osteoporosis.

OsteoStrong of Greater Chicago owners Marc Malizia and Lyndon Sumlin, and their team are passionate about helping their members live “younger longer” by educating them on ways to improve bone density and achieve the highest level of physical freedom possible. They are committed to spreading awareness throughout Illinois that osteoporosis is NOT a normal part of aging. The earlier you begin taking care of your bone health, the better.

Center Manager, Jason Stewart remarked, “After researching OsteoStrong, I realized the potential to help people improve their quality of life. As a manager and session coach, I’ve personally witnessed members reaching the pinnacle of overall health and wellness.”

OsteoStrong Founder & CEO Kyle Zagrodzky says, “Bringing the cutting-edge technology and systems of OsteoStrong to Minnesota is so exciting for my team and me. Our anticipation of all the life-changing stories to come drives us to excellence every day. We are thrilled OS Schaumburg and Wilmette are part of our OsteoStrong family, and we are proud to be #CHICAGOSTRONG!”

This isn't a group webinar. It isn't a sales rep with a script. It's a private conversation with the person who sold this franchise, helped run it, and owns it today.

What it costs youThree short questions and thirty minutes.
Why now

Lyndon's calendar is limited. Alongside his other responsibilities and ownership in five centers, he makes time for a small number of one on one conversations.

Territory availability changes. The market you want today may not stay open.

What you walk away with

  1. Your laneWhich path fits you: single center owner and manager, or multi-center owner and business leader.
  2. Your numbers, up frontIf you qualify, you see the investment range before the call. You start at the right altitude, not at zero.
  3. Your market and timingAn honest look at where you want to own and when.
  4. Your questions answeredThe questions to bring into your Franchise Disclosure Document review, from someone who has seen it from both sides.
  5. A straight answerYes, not yet, or no. If it isn't right for your family, Lyndon will tell you.
An honest filter

Who this is for. And who it isn't.

Clarity saves everyone time. Read both lists before you apply.

This is for you if

  • You want to help people in a meaningful way, in your own community.
  • You bring business leadership, customer service, or ownership experience.
  • You're a corporate leader who assumes ownership is only for people with a sales background. It isn't.
  • You and your spouse have been saving for “someday” and want to know if this is it.

This isn't for you if

  • The return is all you care about. There are franchises built just for that.
  • You need it to replace your corporate income in year one. It isn't designed to do that, at least not in the first year or two.
  • You aren't ready to invest meaningful capital right now.
  • You want to be hands off from day one. A single center needs an owner or a designated manager there full time.

Lyndon has talked people out of buying when it wasn't right for their family. That honesty is the point.

Questions worth asking

Before you take the next step…

These are the questions that can keep a serious prospect from taking the next step. Start here, then decide what you still need to ask Lyndon.

Do I need experience in medicine or healthcare?

Experience in the medical or healthcare industry is not required to be considered. Business-management ability and a commitment to customer service are important.

Do I need to run the center myself every day?

An owner has operational responsibilities, but a designated manager may oversee day to day operations. Confirm specific owner and manager requirements during the qualification process.

How much does it cost to open a center?

Investment costs vary by market and location. Ask about the current investment range, financial requirements, and applicable Franchise Disclosure Document as part of qualification.

Will this replace my corporate income right away?

No. It isn't designed to do that, at least not in the first year or two. Plan for that before you decide. Lyndon would rather you hear it now than be surprised later.

How is this different from OsteoStrong's group discovery calls?

OsteoStrong hosts discovery calls for groups. This is a one on one conversation with Lyndon, built around your answers, your market, and your questions.

Can I explore more than one center?

Absolutely, you can explore single center or multi-center ownership. Once you complete “Check My Ownership Fit,” Lyndon can then help you by discussing which path may fit your experience, aspirations, goals, and market.

What if I’m interested but not ready to move forward?

That is a reasonable place to start. Use the ownership fit questions to clarify what you still need to learn. You do not need to request a discovery conversation before you are ready for one.

Is this the official franchise application?

No. These questions are an initial ownership fit assessment, not an official franchise application or approval.

What happens after I answer the questions?

Your answers help identify the next appropriate step. If a discovery conversation makes sense, you may be invited to speak one on one with Lyndon. If you are still exploring, you can take more time to understand the opportunity.
